This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Just realised you Llama'd me back in Jan...Thanks! Always love your work, I just was reviewing your gallery...I've been away for awhile...lots to catch up on!
the works fantastic it really is, but maybe a little to inspired by the great Chet zar. I mean, when you work gets more refined it would be very hard to tell yours apart from his.

Thank you! I'm fully aware that they look a lot like Chet Zar, thing is however, they did so before I discovered him.
I'm not saying, that I'm not inspired by him, but it is actually more on a technical level, rather than creature level. I try to paint them, as I "see" them (that sounds kind'a creepy), so the question is, do I follow my intuition, or try do make them different, because of this?
I'm not sure myself, but it is something that I'm very much aware of though.
I would very much like your opinion on this, cause I really don't wanna go down in the history books as the one who imitated Chet Zar well.
(I realize I won't be in any histoty books - at least not for this)
Hey there, sorry for my late reply I have been away from DA for a while.
I hope you didn't take offence, I didn't mean my comment in a way like OMG your such a copy cat. It was more and observation on my part. I know exactly what you mean though, it happens to me all the time, I will do a piece of art, finish it, really like it, then come across something the same, or realise i have seen it somewhere before and on a subconscious level must of been overly inspired by something I may have seen in passing. But thats the problem nowadays, there are so many many many people doing art, and we are all connected not its so difficult to come up with that 'original' idea or style.
I would say follow your intuition, but maybe try take it on a slight detour. The problem is with most people, especially critics, is thats what they do, they compare you to others, you could be branded a copycat even though you are not, plus due to the fact that Chet zar has been around quite some time, has become quite famous for his style and creatures, worked on projects with tool, hellboy etc etc the odds are not staked in your favour. But at the end of the day you should make what your heart wants to make, I suppose it all depends on what you plan to do with your art.
For reasons mentioned above is kinda why I have been away from Da for the past year, and the internet art world in general, I wanted to spend some time developing some new ideas and styles with as little influence as possible if that makes sense.
